Getting Started: Connecting Supabase

Dreambase is built on top of Supabase auth and infrastructure, so every workspace needs at least one healthy Supabase connection to get started.

Creating a Dreambase account

1. Create an account by signing in with Google, GitHub, or email + password.

2. On first login you're dropped into the onboarding flow, which walks you straight into connecting Supabase.

Connecting Supabase (required)

Click Connect Supabase and you'll be sent to Supabase for approval. A few things to know:

• We request as few permissions as possible.

• We only require write access for SQL queries, since the Supabase MCP server requires it to run analysis queries.

• When you select a Supabase project, we only ever access that project (per connection).

What's new: Dreambase workspaces now support connecting multiple Supabase projects, including from multiple different Supabase organizations, into a single workspace. After your first connection, go to Connectors → Manage Databases → + Add Database any time you want to link another project. The "New Supabase Connection" dialog includes a Connect another org option specifically for this, so you're not limited to one org's projects.

Your top nav shows a live Supabase connections health indicator (e.g. "1 of 1 healthy") so you always know if any connected project has an auth or access issue.

Testing your connection

1. After connecting, you're routed back into Dreambase.

2. Your Supabase project should now be selectable.

3. Once selected, you can kick off analysis on that project.

Connecting as a Workspace member

Workspace members use the workspace owner's Supabase connection, so you don't have to worry about setting up each user individually, they'll get access to the data and dashboards in your workspace.
