This release brings metrics into chat and the API, opens every Platform API tool to agents, and locks down connection credentials.
Metrics from chat, REST and MCP. Create, edit and delete metrics from workspace chat, the v1 API and MCP. Dreambase checks that a metric returns a single value before saving it, and blocks changes while a dashboard that shows it is refreshing. Each metric page also has "Ask in chat" and a delete that names the dashboards it affects. New tools and scopes are listed in the API Reference and the Dreambase MCP docs.
Platform agents can call every tool. All 37 Platform API tools now work for agents, so an agent can manage dashboards, connections, datasets and skills over REST or MCP. Each agent token is pinned to one workspace.
Chat SQL on the same checked path as datasets. Workspace chat now runs its queries through the same guarded, Postgres-first reads as the dataset planner. Chat no longer reads a project's logs, migrations or edge functions through Supabase's MCP server, and SQL text no longer appears in logs. Learn more about the Analyst Agent.
Better API and MCP sources. New recipes walk every page of a paginated API with backoff on rate limits, keep one row per primary key, and store nested values as structured columns you can read by path. Stripe and GitHub get pagination presets. See API Connectors.
Faster navigation and dashboards. Pages load their data in parallel, and the workspace, dashboards list, dashboard and chat thread show loading skeletons while they open.
Native-only dashboards. Charts, metrics, tables, lists and filters draw from their native dataset queries. A component that has not been rebuilt shows "This component needs rebuilding" with a Copy prompt button.
Security. Workspace members can no longer read raw tokens or keys for connections through the Data API, though they still see which connections exist. The invite email check now requires a workspace manager.
