Last week, we opened early access to Dreambase MCP and laid out the next step in our Headless Analytics journey.

The idea is simple: data should be ready to work wherever work is happening. Not trapped behind a dashboard. Not rediscovered from scratch by every agent. Not left waiting for someone to run another manual query.

Today, we are shipping the next pieces of that foundation in Dreambase.

Datasets are now a first-class part of the workspace. Weekly Digests have been redesigned as useful, readable data artifacts. And workspace timezones now make the whole experience show up on your team's clock, not ours.

Agents can now explore data, then keep what they find

An agent should be able to investigate a question without turning every exploration into a permanent production query. That is what Datasets unlock.

From Dreambase workspace chat, an analyst can explore a question, inspect the result, and save the useful output as a reusable dataset with one step. External agents can do the same thing through Dreambase MCP.

Every saved dataset comes with an instant column profile, so you can immediately understand its shape: the columns, data types, completeness, ranges, and the basic signals that tell an agent or analyst whether it is ready for the next question.

That sounds small. It changes the workflow completely.

Before, an agent might create a temporary query, answer one question, and throw the work away. The next agent starts from the original sources again. It has to rediscover the schema, reproduce the joins, and spend tokens finding the same answer path.

Now, an agent can create a data sandbox, explore safely, and materialize the useful result for future work.

That dataset becomes a shared asset. It can power the next report, the next dashboard, the next digest, or the next agent workflow without making someone repeat the work from zero.

This is how the Dreambase MCP becomes more than a connector. It becomes an environment where agents can make data reusable.

Your weekly digest should feel like a briefing, not a notification

The new Digest is built like a newspaper, not an alert feed.

Each week, it gives you a lead story for the most important change in your workspace, followed by one indexed entry for every remaining dashboard. Each entry includes its full insight and a seven-day chart, so you can scan what changed across your business, understand why it matters, and decide where to go deeper.

The Digest is powered by the data underneath the dashboards. It brings the important trends across your company into one useful artifact, delivered to your inbox without asking you to hunt through tabs, filters, and charts to find what moved.

That is another expression of Headless Analytics: an answer delivered in the format and place where it is most useful. Not every insight needs a dashboard visit. Some should arrive as a clear, beautiful briefing when the week starts.

And we are not stopping at email. Slack delivery is coming next.

Configure Workspace Timezone

A small addition that matters more than it sounds: workspace administrators can now set one named timezone for their workspace.

Weekly Digests and dashboard refresh schedules automatically align to it.

That means a weekly digest arrives when your team expects it, and refreshes happen on the business calendar your company actually runs on. No more implicit timezone assumptions hiding inside an automation that is supposed to make your work simpler.

Headless Analytics compounds

The Dreambase MCP gives agents safe, managed access to your pre-calculated metrics and validated datasets.

First-class Datasets let agents explore, create sandboxes, and preserve the work worth keeping.

Each piece removes another round of data churn: another schema rediscovery, another repeated query, another lost insight, another prompt that starts from a blank page.

It also makes the system better over time. Your analytical foundation compounds as people and agents use it.

That is the real promise of Headless Analytics. Not fewer dashboards for the sake of it. More useful data in more places, with less manual work, less token burn, less production load, and more confidence in the answer.
